Description

Bread, so creamy and cheesy


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of all purpose flour
  • 9 grams of yeast
  • 300ml of warm milk
  • I cup of sugar
  • One teaspoon of salt
  • One teaspoon of baking powder 
  • Cream cheese (emborg creamy cheese) 100mls
  • Half cup of vegetable oil
  • Sesame oil (50g)

Instructions

Cooking instructions 

  1. Start by pouring your milk into a measuring cup. Add in your yeast along with a cup of sugar to activate the yeast, then give the combination a good mix
  2. Once well mixed, pour in your vegetable oil and set aside
  3. In a mixing bowl, add in 2 cups of self raising flour, one cup of sugar, a teaspoon of salt and baking powder. Mix the dry ingredients together
  4. Pour in your wet ingredients and leave the mixer to knead for a little over 3 mins before introducing your cream cheese in bits
  5. Allow to mix properly, this can be done for about 10 mins to ensure the dough is well mixed
  6. Cover your mixer bowl with cling film for 15 mins to allow the bread dough rise
  7. After 15 mins take it out of the mixing/kneader bowl and place it on the table counter
  8. Sprinkle some more self raising flour over it and commence your hand kneading on the counter
  9. Knead till very smooth and then cut into your desired size and shape based on what you set out to make 
  10. Place your cut dough into the baking pan, leave it to rise for a few minutes and then coat the top with your egg wash and a sprinkle of sesame seeds 
  11. Place in the oven till brown and well cooked, this usually shouldn’t take longer than 30 mins
