Hey y’all, I am here with some purple goodness!
Ever had troubles detangling your curls/coils? Then stick around fam, this post is definitely for you. Permit me to officially introduce you to this product.
Appearance
Aussie’s detangling milk comes in a petite purple bottle with a key in and out topper for product dispensing. This petite bottle has a total net weight of 6.7 fl oz, about 200mls.
Written on the bottle, is the full product name; Aussie Miracle curls leave– in detangling milk. Also written on it, is the important detail of the product being sulphate and dye free. Moving on, it has such a sweet and fruity, intense smell! Trust me, the smell is a delight and definitely a plus for me.
Let’s take a Quick Look at the ingredient list of this product (since they claim it is sulfate and dye free)

Water, dimethicone, Simmondsia chinensis, jojoba seed oil, cocoa Nucifera, fragrance, cetyl alcohol, stearamidopropyl dimethylamine, start alcohol, quarternium 18, hydroxyl ethyl cellulose, phenoxyethanol, benzyl alcohol, PEG- 2M, Cetearyl alcohol, methyl paraben, propyl paraben, oleyl alcohol, glyceryl stearate, citric acid, polysorbate 60, lysine Hcl, EDTA.
Remark!
I am not even gonna lie, taking this ingredient list in was a lot. The chemical names were pretty overwhelming and worrisome. Just in case you never knew, I am always super conscious of whatever I put into my hair, safety always comes first for me.
Thankfully, I analysed and browsed each of the ingredient list and headed to the Aussie website as well for more details on the ingredients as recommended on the bottle. I think it’s pretty cool that the Aussie crew took time out to explain the relevance of the ingredients and assure us further with regards the safety of this product.
Product promises
The Aussie leave in conditioner is said to be a leave in detangling milk with coconut and Jojoba oil. This detangling milk is meant to easily detangle your nasty knots, and leave your strands soft and smooth.
Direction for use (as written on the package)
Squeeze some of the product into your palms and comb through damp hair. Detangle gently with a wide tooth comb but do not rinse out.
Perfomance
Now as is public knowledge, the performance of every product has to do mostly with the fulfillment of its promises. When a product makes a promise, it should be able to come through with every single promise, and even exceed expectations.
The Aussie leave in detangling milk is one product I would say has bragging rights when it comes to keeping their promise on detangling. I kid you not, when this product came in contact with my coils, they instantly became soft/moisturized. Detangling was a breeze, there were no knots or tangles, and my hair felt buttery! They really nailed it with keeping their detangling promise.
One thing I don’t like about this product, however, is that it could get your hair soaking wet and even dripping if you use too much of it. Then there is its remote inability to help your hair strands retain moisture. I don’t fault them per se for this, though, because they never promised to lock in moisture. It would have been nice, however, if the product catered to the moisture needs of 4c hair. Now to the rating of this product.
Rating
To keep it short, I would say that I have used better leave in conditioners in the past especially where moisture retention is concerned, however considering its robust detangling prowess, this is a great buy.
I rate this product a solid 7.5 out of 10 for its exceptional detangling properties.
